I had the pleasure of being taught by Professor Lisa Sanders in 2019 while attending ECSU, in pursuit of my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. In which time Lisa exposed myself and classmates to thought-provoking, and enriching relevant coursework in the HR field. Lisa cultivated networking opportunities for her students to connect with local business leaders, and HR professionals. Without her guidance, I would not have formed the interpersonal skills and connections within the community that I have obtained today. Personally, there are two profound opportunities that occurred for me as a direct result of being a student of Professor Sanders. One being, I was fortunate to have met and shadowed with the fantastic team at CHRO Commission of Human Rights and Opportunities) in Norwich, CT. Without this opportunity, my interests in Human Resources would not have been solidified. The second opportunity being, I had a chance to meet and maintain a connection with a Recruiter who spoke one evening at Lisa’s class. This Recruiter and I maintained communication long after I graduated from ECSU. Fast forward to 2020 and that same Recruiter I met while attending Lisa’s class is now a fellow co worker and colleague. Without meeting my now coworker then Recruiter back in 2019 I would not have been personally recommended for my current role as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator at Numotion. Lisa has helped me tremendously to progress in my HR career, and she will do the same for you. I would recommend anyone who wants to take a chance to develop their skills within the HR profession to sign up for Professor Sander’s high ranking course work. While taking her class, I can guarantee you will learn the tools, confidence, and now how to succeed in the HR workplace. You will not regret it.
